CoreWeave AI data center project delayed, computing power delivery capacity blocked exposing operational loopholes.
According to informed sources, earlier this year, the rainy weather in Texas delayed the construction progress of a crucial artificial intelligence data center for CoreWeave, a leader in cloud AI computing rental, resulting in a delay of several months in its completion date. It is reported that heavy rain and strong winds caused a delay of about 60 days at a construction site in Denton, Texas, preventing contractors from pouring concrete for the building complex. The data center cluster will provide approximately 260 megawatts of computing power, and CoreWeave plans to lease it to OpenAI. Additionally, modifications to the design drawings of some data centers being built for CoreWeave by partners in Texas and other areas also resulted in further delays.
