On the 15th, the Guangzhou Municipal People's Government released the "Outline of the Beautiful Guangzhou Construction Plan", which proposed actively developing and utilizing new energy sources. It aims to strengthen the bottom-line guarantee of coal and coal-fired electricity, promote the reduction of coal consumption and the clean and efficient utilization of coal. It also calls for the reasonable control of petroleum consumption, the continuous promotion of natural gas utilization, and the vigorous promotion of new energy sources such as photovoltaic, biomass energy, and hydrogen energy to increase local green electricity supply. The plan also includes the vigorous development of distributed photovoltaic power generation using solar energy, exploring integrated construction and operation models for building-integrated photovoltaics, and promoting the rational development and utilization of biomass energy. It will push for the demonstration and scale application of hydrogen energy in transportation, electricity, and other fields, and make forward-looking arrangements for the exploitation, development, and industrialization of natural gas hydrates.
