Today, it was learned from the Ministry of Water Resources that during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, China's digital twin water conservancy system framework has basically taken shape. A total of 94 digital twin basin construction tasks have been completed as pilot projects; the construction of digital twin water networks in 14 provincial-level water network pilot zones has been incrementally promoted; and digital twin applications have been deployed in key projects such as the Three Gorges, South-to-North Water Diversion, and Xiaolangdi. In addition, the "Sky, Earth, and Water Works" integrated monitoring and sensing system is accelerating construction. At present, a monitoring and sensing system has been formed, covering 34 remote sensing satellites, over 180 weather radar stations, 136,000 ground hydrological flood reporting stations, and over 300,000 engineering safety monitoring points. This system basically meets the needs of water conservancy operations such as defense against water and drought disasters, and water resources management and allocation.
