Chongqing: The construction and implementation of the Chengdu-Chongqing Hydrogen Corridor will form a replicable and expandable demonstration model for the hydrogen energy industry.
Chongqing City issued the Hydrogen Station Industry Development Plan. It mentions that the Chengdu-Chongqing Hydrogen Corridor uses the Yurong, Chengyu, and Chengsuiyu expressways as the main transportation arteries, focusing on connecting core logistics hubs such as the Chongqing Liangjiang New Area Automobile Industrial Park, Guoyuan Port National Logistics Hub, Chengdu International Aviation Hub, and the Western China Modern Logistics Port, with an annual freight volume exceeding 2.2 billion tons and a fleet of over 50,000 logistics vehicles. The plan focuses on deploying hydrogen infrastructure along the Chengyu trunk line, promoting the construction of hydrogen stations in Dazu District, Tongliang District, Tongnan District, and Rongchang District, respectively, and coordinating the construction of hydrogen supply networks along major trunk lines such as Yurong Expressway, Suiyu Expressway, and Chengyu Expressway to enhance the scale of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles for intercity trunk lines. By constructing a complete hydrogen industry chain, the application will gradually expand to surrounding areas, driving the coordinated development of towns and cities in southern Sichuan and western Chongqing. The implementation of the Chengdu-Chongqing Hydrogen Corridor will create a replicable and scalable hydrogen industry demonstration model, providing important support for the construction of the hydrogen corridor along the Yangtze River Economic Belt.
