On December 15th, the first electrochemical independent energy storage project in Altay Prefecture, Xinjiang was completed and put into operation. The total investment of the project is approximately 530 million yuan, with an energy storage capacity of 200MW/800MWh, making it a key component in the construction of a new power system in Altay Prefecture. The energy storage system uses 160 units of 1.25MW/5MWh container-type battery compartments, 40 units of 5MW energy storage converter boost integrated compartments, and adopts lithium iron phosphate batteries. The project, with its official operation, can effectively enhance the peak-shifting capacity of the power grid in Altay Prefecture, which is of great significance in promoting the integration of clean energy sources such as wind and solar power and optimizing the energy structure.
