Next January, Zhejiang will officially implement 12 measures for the high-quality development of football.
Zhejiang recently released "Several Measures for Promoting the High-Quality Development of Football". The "Measures" set quantitative targets, with the province holding over 10,000 campus football matches each year and organizing class leagues covering the entire school year. At a broader social level, over 30,000 social football activities are to be held annually. The "Measures" require "overall planning of existing resources, building youth training centers based on sports schools, schools, etc., and constructing a selection network for elite football players covering the entire province." In terms of specific structure, the division of tasks at different levels is clearly defined: leveraging youth training centers as the main training ground for reserve talent, improving the development of U10-U16 age groups at the city and county levels, and actively conducting training for U6-U8 age groups. Each year, at least 4 provincial youth football training camps are organized to build a talent development pathway that connects seamlessly from top to bottom.
