In response to the serious aging population and shortage of caregivers, Japan has started training and importing nursing personnel from India in recent years. It is reported that Japan has started importing Indian caregivers since 2022, with approximately 300 Indian caregivers currently in Japan. Although the total number is not large, it has increased by 73% compared to the previous year. The well-known Japanese nursing service provider "Nippon Life Insurance Nursing Company" has been recruiting individuals with nursing work experience in India since 2024, providing them with about 9 months of Japanese language and nursing skills training, and then assisting them in completing the procedures to work in Japan. This year, the company has already assisted 6 Indian caregivers to work in Japan.
