Shanghai's "Suishen Code" has more than 88 million users, helping to explore the digital governance of super-large cities.

Exploring a new paradigm of digital governance in mega-cities, the "Suishen Code" has become a major focus in Shanghai. It was learned from the award ceremony of the 2025 Shanghai "Suishen Code" Application Innovation Competition held on December 13 that the number of Shanghai "Suishen Code" users has exceeded 88 million, and its usage scenarios cover various areas such as transportation, medical care, purchasing medication, cultural and sports tourism, and government services. Since its inception, the "Suishen Code" has evolved into a "digital key" that runs through the daily lives of citizens and a "unified interface" for city services.
