Major European stock indices closed mostly lower.

The European Stoxx 600 index fell by 0.5%, the Euro Stoxx index fell by 0.4%, and the Eurozone blue-chip stock index fell by 0.5%. The French CAC 40 index dropped by 0.1%, the Spanish IBEX index fell by 0.13%, the UK FTSE 100 index dropped by 0.5%, and the German DAX index fell by 0.34%.
