On December 12, WeRide, a global leading autonomous driving technology company, and the international transportation giant Uber announced a partnership with the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority to launch Robotaxi public operation services in Dubai through the Uber App. Starting today, WeRide will provide Robotaxi travel services to the public through the Uber App, initially covering the Umm Suqeim and Jumeirah areas, which are adjacent to public beaches and are the most popular areas for tourists in Dubai. Passengers can select the "Autonomous" exclusive category on the Uber platform to directly request a Robotaxi. Tawasul will be the main fleet operator for WeRide's Robotaxi on the Uber platform, providing fleet management services.
