Li Hongzhong meets with the delegation from the Social Democratic Party of Portugal.

On the 12th, Li Hongzhong, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, met with a delegation led by Secretary-General of the Social Democratic Party of Portugal and leader of the parliamentary party group Suarez in Beijing. Li Hongzhong stated that under the strategic guidance of the leaders of the two countries, the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Portugal continues to deepen. China is willing to closely engage with Portugal in areas such as political parties and legislative bodies, promote cooperation in the construction of the "Belt and Road" initiative, and drive the healthy and stable development of China-Portugal and China-Europe relations. Li Hongzhong also briefed on the situation of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee. Suarez expressed that Portugal firmly adheres to the One China principle and is willing to promote exchanges and cooperation in various fields between the two countries through party-to-party channels.
