CNOOC Engineering: Intends to extend the $6.5 million loan for the Emerald Bird Oil Field consortium until the end of 2027.

CNOOC Engineering announced that the wholly-owned subsidiary's holding subsidiary, the engineering construction company's Uganda subsidiary, has provided a $6.5 million loan to the Cormorant Oilfield Consortium, with the original agreement set to expire on April 15, 2026. It is now proposed to extend the agreement until December 31, 2027, with an extension interest rate of 6%. This matter has been reviewed by the company's board of directors and still requires shareholder approval. CNOOC Engineering International Uganda Branch will also provide an equal amount of funding and extend the agreement. Currently, the Uganda subsidiary has disbursed $2 million, and even after the extension, the total amount of assistance from the company to it will remain at $6.5 million, accounting for 0.17% of the latest audited net assets, with no overdue unrecovered amount.
