The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology held a press conference on "Using Green Finance Policies to Support the Construction of Green Factories." Wang Peng, Director of the Energy Conservation and Comprehensive Utilization Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, stated that by 2030, the proportion of green factory output at the national, provincial, and municipal levels will increase to 40%. They will formulate management methods for the gradient cultivation of green factories and optimize the evaluation index system. They will guide green factories to tap into the potential of energy conservation and carbon reduction, cultivate a number of zero-carbon factories, and vigorously promote the development of green supply chains. They will carry out actions to enhance green supply chains, promote large enterprises to play a leading role, support suppliers with green factories through policies such as green procurement, increase the proportion of green factory enterprises in the supplier chain, and promote the overall transformation of the chain towards green. They will provide services such as green diagnostics and supply chain finance to drive upstream and downstream suppliers to implement green and low-carbon transformation. They will explore a supply chain carbon footprint management model and encourage open sharing of carbon emissions data between upstream and downstream enterprises.
