The Nikkei index may rise, before this the American stock index hit a record high.
The Japanese stock market may rise, as US major stock indexes hit record highs, partly due to market hopes that the Federal Reserve will maintain loose monetary policy. The Nikkei futures on the Singapore Exchange rose 1.1% to 50,825 points. Investors are focusing on economic data and Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga's policy measures ahead of the Bank of Japan's policy meeting next week. The Nikkei index fell 0.9% on Thursday to 50,148.82 points.
