According to a media brief from the US State Department, the United States and Japan will explore opportunities for collaboration on flagship projects in the global technology stack. The project will also cover semiconductors, advanced manufacturing, logistics, mineral refining and processing, and the energy sector. The Pax Silica Declaration aims to lay the foundation for a broader partnership framework. Countries reiterated their commitment to jointly seeking to strengthen supply chain security partnerships. Note: Pax Silica is a US-led strategic initiative aimed at building the silicon supply chain - covering various aspects from critical mineral and energy inputs to advanced manufacturing, semiconductors, artificial intelligence infrastructure, and logistics. The Pax Silica Summit brings together peers from the following countries: Japan, South Korea, Singapore, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Israel, the United Arab Emirates, and Australia.
