Shanxi issues snowstorm and icy road warning, multiple highways closed.

Affected by the cold air, Shanxi has experienced widespread rain and snow, as well as a drop in temperature, since last night. Multiple highways have been temporarily closed, and the Shanxi Provincial Meteorological Observatory has issued a blue warning for snowstorms and a yellow warning for road icing. Due to the snow and road icing, as of 7 a.m. on the 12th, several highways in Shanxi have been temporarily closed, including sections of the Qingyin Expressway in Jinzhong, the Yangquan Ring Expressway, the Yuxian section of the Jingkun Expressway, the Tianli section of the Jingkun Expressway, the Xingxian section of the Hubei Expressway, the Daxin section of the Eguang Expressway, the Yuanshuo Expressway, and the Datong section of the Rongwu Expressway. Shanxi highway traffic police, together with road authorities and maintenance departments, have been working overnight to spread salt and remove snow.
