Chengdu has set clear development goals for the digital cultural and creative industry: by 2030, the total scale will exceed 600 billion yuan.

On December 10th, Chengdu held a press conference to interpret the spirit of the 8th Plenary Session of the 14th Chengdu Municipal Committee. At this session, Chengdu first proposed to "accelerate the construction of a national important cultural and creative center and a digital cultural and creative industry cluster", and included it in the "Five Centers and Five Places" city development positioning for the "14th Five-Year Plan". The press conference revealed for the first time that by 2030, Chengdu plans to break through the total scale of the digital cultural and creative industry to over 600 billion yuan. Around this new target of 600 billion yuan, Chengdu will step up efforts from three aspects: strengthening industrial parks, fostering industry formats, and building competition venues, in order to propel the industry towards a higher level.
