The voting for the 8th Legislative Council election in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region has concluded.
On December 7th at 23:30, the voting for the 8th Legislative Council election in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region ended. This is another important Legislative Council election after improving the electoral system in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and implementing the principle of "patriots governing Hong Kong". After 16 hours of voting, voters from all sectors actively participated in the election. All polling stations in Hong Kong have completed the sealing of ballot papers and preliminary statistical preparations, and the results are expected to be officially announced in the early morning of December 8th. The new Legislative Council of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region will consist of 90 members, including 40 members from the Election Committee constituency, 30 members from the functional constituency, and 20 members from the geographical constituency.
