Border closure is imminent! The "Million Talents Boost Hainan" action plan is launched.

In 2025, the end of Hainan Island's closure operation and the "Million Talents Enter Hainan" action plan marked a major historical milestone. The second China Talent Exchange Conference opened in Haikou on December 6. The theme of this conference is "Building a Talent Gathering Island to Support the Operation of the Free Trade Port Closure," showcasing the achievements of Hainan's talent work and bringing together talents from all sectors to jointly plan for new development. Since the launch of the "Million Talents Enter Hainan" action plan in 2018, Hainan Province has implemented projects such as introducing leading talents and teams, recruiting young university students, and introducing talents flexibly, attracting a total of over 1.03 million talents. At the opening ceremony on that day, a new talent strategy--the "Million Elite Promote Hainan" action plan was officially launched based on the "Million Talents Enter Hainan" action plan, aiming to provide more precise and higher quality talent support for the operation and high-quality development of the Hainan Free Trade Port.
