Hubei plans to have over 600 new energy vessels by 2027.

The work plan for promoting the transformation and upgrading of the inland river shipbuilding industry and the high-quality development in Hubei Province was officially released, with a focus on green and intelligent development. According to the plan, by 2027, the total number of green-powered ships in the province will exceed 600. At the production site of a shipbuilding company in Wuhan, multiple new energy ships are being built simultaneously. From segmented welding, keel assembly to deck laying, the scene is bustling. Currently, the company has orders for 23 new energy ships, with a total contract amount exceeding 7.5 billion yuan, and the intention orders for 2026 have also reached 15 ships.
