Norway plans to buy two more submarines from Germany.

The Norwegian Ministry of Defense said on the 5th that Norway plans to purchase two more submarines from Germany. Previously, Norway had ordered 4 submarines from Germany in 2021. It is reported that Norway will purchase two submarines from ThyssenKrupp Marine Systems in Germany at a price of 460 billion Norwegian kroner each, with a total contract value exceeding 9 billion US dollars. The previously ordered 4 submarines were also manufactured by the same company. The Norwegian Ministry of Defense said that it is expected that the German side will begin delivering the 6 submarines mentioned above in 2029.
