Hong Kong SAR Government announces latest progress in investigation of Tai Po fire incident.

On December 5th, the Hong Kong SAR government gave updates on the investigation, support, fundraising, emergency accommodation arrangements, and other work related to the Tai Po fire during a media interview. The Chief Secretary for Administration of the Hong Kong SAR government, Matthew Cheung Kin-chung, stated that the police and the Independent Commission Against Corruption have formed a joint task force to conduct a comprehensive criminal investigation into the incident. Preliminary investigations indicate that the construction involved in the incident had premeditatedly used non-compliant non-flame-retardant material.
