According to the Spanish National Geographic Institute, a 4.8 magnitude earthquake occurred near the town of Fuengirola in Malaga province, southern Spain at 10:38 am local time on December 5th, with a depth of 77 kilometers. After the earthquake, the local emergency services center received multiple alarms, and provinces such as Malaga, Seville, and Cordoba in Andalusia felt the earthquake. The Andalusian Regional Government stated that no reports of casualties or property damage related to this earthquake have been received so far.
