Huang Kunming Meets with China Telecom Chairman Ke Ruiwen

On the afternoon of December 5th, Huang Kunming, the Secretary of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee, met with the Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of China Telecom Group Limited, Ke Ruiwen, in Guangzhou. The two sides had in-depth discussions on further deepening strategic cooperation, strengthening the digital economy and information industry. Huang Kunming welcomed Ke Ruiwen and his delegation on behalf of the provincial party committee and government, thanking China Telecom for its long-standing contribution to the economic and social development of Guangdong, especially in terms of informatization and digital construction. He stated that in recent years, the strategic cooperation between Guangdong and China Telecom has continued to deepen, achieving a series of new advances and results in coordinated development between the central and local governments. Currently, Guangdong is deeply studying and implementing the spirit of President Xi Jinping's inspection of Guangdong and his important speeches and instructions at the opening ceremony of the 15th National Games. Following the deployment of the 7th Plenary Session of the 13th Provincial Party Committee, Guangdong will implement the "15th Five-Year Plan" with a high level of strategic thinking and a broad vision, resolutely taking on major responsibilities and comprehensively promoting provincial construction, striving to create new advantages and achieve new breakthroughs at a new starting point. As we march towards the "15th Five-Year Plan," we will establish the development of Digital Guangdong and the smart economy as important measures to strengthen the foundation of scientific and technological innovation and create industrial advantages, placing a greater emphasis on these initiatives. We are willing to work together with China Telecom, focusing on emerging frontier areas such as artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, cloud computing, blockchain, quantum technology, satellite communications, and low-altitude economy, to jointly promote the key core technology breakthroughs, transformation of innovation results, demonstration of application scenarios, and collaborative promotion of digital industrialization and industrial digitization, creating new growth points for cooperation. We hope that China Telecom will further strengthen its project layout in Guangdong, invest more resources to promote the construction of digital information infrastructure such as optical networks and computing power, fully leverage platforms such as the Digital Intelligence Technology Ecology Conference, and drive more partners in the industry chain to invest in projects, develop industries, and innovate layouts in Guangdong, actively explore the application of new technologies such as artificial intelligence and 3D printing in traditional manufacturing, agricultural production, marine ranch construction, emergency support, risk monitoring, warning and control, and promote holistic optimization and cost reduction to enhance efficiency, empowering the development of various industries.
