According to the Macau branch of the Bank of China, the "Gathering of Macau and Portugal: Deepening the Application of Offshore RMB Market and Multilateral Financial Cooperation Seminar" jointly organized by Bank of China Macau and the China-Portuguese Speaking Countries Economic and Trade Service Center was held on the 5th in the Hengqin Guangdong-Macau Deep Cooperation Zone. Xi Yu, Deputy Director of the Macroprudential Management Bureau of the People's Bank of China, said in a video speech that the development of the offshore RMB market is an important pillar of RMB internationalization. In the future, the People's Bank of China will orderly promote various aspects of RMB internationalization work, better serve the development of the real economy, and support the construction of the offshore RMB market.
