On December 5, 2025, Vice Minister of Finance Liao Min of China met with Bertrand Dumont, Director of the French Ministry of Economy and Finance's General Directorate of Public Finance, who was visiting Beijing. They exchanged in-depth views on coordinating cooperation between China and France under the G20 financial channels and cooperation within the framework of the China-France high-level economic and financial dialogue. Liao Min stated that China is willing to work with France to implement important consensus between the leaders of the two countries, deepen exchanges and cooperation in the field of economic and financial matters, and elevate the China-France comprehensive strategic partnership to a new level. China is willing to strengthen communication and coordination with France under the G20 financial channel framework to promote reform and improvement of the global governance system.
