Report: Indian Bharat Petroleum Corporation purchases Russian Urals crude oil and CPC blended crude oil from non-sanctioned entities.
Reuters cited informed trade sources as saying that the Indian state-owned Bharat Petroleum Corporation has placed an order to purchase 2 million barrels of Russian Urals crude oil and an equal amount of CPC Blend crude oil. These shipments are scheduled to be loaded in January, and the suppliers are all non-sanctioned entities. The sources stated that the price of this transaction is at a discount of $6 to $7 per barrel compared to the spot price of Brent crude oil. Most of the crude oil transported by the Caspian Pipeline Consortium comes from Kazakhstan, with Russia also selling some of its crude oil through this pipeline.
