The Chinese delegation has completed the task of attending the fifth study group meeting of the Radio Communication Sector of the International Telecommunication Union.
On December 5th, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology announced that from November 17th to December 2nd, 2025, the fifth working group of the International Telecommunication Union Radio Communication Sector and its sub-working groups WP5A, WP5B, and WP5C held meetings in Geneva, Switzerland. This meeting was the third research cycle of Study Group 5 and the fourth meeting of related working groups for the 2027 World Radiocommunication Conference. The meeting focused on topics such as wireless access, industrial internet, smart transportation, railway radiocommunication systems, professional digital cluster communication system standards, coordination methods for the 6GHz frequency band international mobile communication system, and new technologies in aviation and maritime communication, among others. Several proposals and reports were discussed and either approved or revised, with 26 submissions from China being adopted by the meeting. In particular, China's new proposals for RSTT, flash star standard, and the 6GHz IMT frequency arrangement were incorporated into relevant proposals and approved by the meeting. A new report on the coordination methods for 6GHz IMT services was approved, and PDT standards and technical characteristics were successfully included in reports related to public protection and disaster relief. Additionally, a revision proposal for industrial network-related research was also approved in the ITU-R Study Group on "Specific Applications of Digital Land Mobile Systems."
