The latest data shows that the outstanding balance of US Treasury bonds issued abroad has exceeded 30 trillion US dollars for the first time, approximately double that of 2018. This balance includes Treasury bills, Treasury notes, and long-term Treasury bonds, which are the core components of the total federal debt of the United States. Meanwhile, the overall federal debt of the United States has reached approximately 38.4 trillion US dollars, with around 30 trillion US dollars held by the market and the rest held by government internal accounts.
