By 2024, the total output value of tropical crops reached 283.99 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 15.1%. This was revealed by reporters on the 4th at the 2025 China International Tropical Industry Conference held in Haikou, Hainan. It was reported that the country's major tropical crop planting area exceeds 72 million acres, with a total output of about 40 million tons. The industries of lychee, longan, mango, and nuts rank among the top in the world in terms of scale. Technological support continues to strengthen, and the conversion of technological achievements is accelerating, with a technological contribution rate exceeding 63%.
