The Third Global South Think Tank Summit will be held.

On December 4, the third Global South Think Tank Dialogue, jointly organized by the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, the CPC Shanghai Committee, and the Global South Think Tank Cooperation Alliance, was held in Shanghai with the theme "Unity for Self-Improvement: The Responsibility and Action of the Global South". Around 350 representatives including political party leaders, think tank scholars, and representatives from over 120 countries attended the event. Chen Jining, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Secretary of the Shanghai Municipal Party Committee, stated that Shanghai is implementing the strategic deployment of the fourth plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, insisting on high-quality development, prioritizing the people, and expanding high-level opening up. Shanghai aims to fully play the leading and demonstrative role in promoting Chinese-style modernization. They are willing to play a better role at the local level, provide strong support in economic cooperation with Global South countries, foster mutual understanding and friendship in cultural exchanges, and move towards modernization together through mutual achievements.
