On the occasion of the 12th National Constitution Day, the Supreme Court once again emphasized safeguarding the personal and property safety bottom line of entrepreneurs in accordance with the law. On December 4th, the Supreme People's Court held a press conference to release 7 typical civil and commercial cases where the people's courts have lawfully and equally protected the legitimate rights and interests of private enterprises. Wang Chuang, the director of the Second Civil Division of the Supreme Court, introduced that in recent years, the people's courts have adhered to the principle of lawfully and equally protecting throughout the entire judicial process, continuously improving the rule of law business environment through the development of criminal, civil, administrative, and enforcement work. Wang Chuang stated that the people's courts always adhere to principles such as equality before the law, the principle of crime and punishment being determined by law, and the principle of criminal liability correspond to the crime. They firmly prevent and correct the use of administrative and criminal means to intervene in economic disputes, strictly differentiate between contract disputes and contract fraud, legitimate financing and illegal fundraising, participation in mergers and acquisitions and malicious occupation of state-owned assets, legitimate business operations and illegal crimes, and other boundaries between wrongdoing and innocence.
