Canada provides an additional $235 million in aid to Ukraine.
On the 3rd local time, Canada confirmed that it will provide a total of 2.35 billion Canadian dollars in assistance to Ukraine through two aid projects, including 2 billion Canadian dollars for the purchase of military equipment and 35 million Canadian dollars to meet Ukraine's security and defense needs. The Canadian Department of National Defense announced on the 3rd local time that Canadian Defense Minister Harjit Sajjan announced that Canada will cooperate with NATO allies to contribute 2 billion Canadian dollars towards purchasing key military equipment from the United States based on NATO's "Ukraine Priority Needs List." In addition, Canadian Foreign Minister Francois-Philippe Champagne announced at a NATO Foreign Ministers' meeting in Brussels, Belgium, that Canada will provide 35 million Canadian dollars to the NATO "Comprehensive Assistance Package for Ukraine" to help address Ukraine's security and defense needs.
