According to the EEO Finance APP, informed sources revealed that SiTime, a manufacturer of analog chips specializing in providing synchronous control for circuits inside data centers, is in talks to acquire the timing department of Japanese company Renesas Electronics. Sources familiar with the matter disclosed that SiTime, based in California, is discussing the terms of the acquisition of Renesas Electronics' department. This department produces synchronous signal clock chips for wireless infrastructure, networks, and data centers. These sources indicated that if the deal is reached, its valuation (including debt) could reach as high as $2 billion.
