Hermes heiress sues LVMH and its chairman.
According to a recently leaked civil lawsuit document, 82-year-old Herms fifth-generation heir Nicolas Puech is suing French luxury company LVMH and its chairman Bernard Arnault, claiming that the defendants have taken away Herms shares worth over a billion US dollars. This is the first time Puech has legally challenged the LVMH group and Arnault, which is related to the highly publicized financial fraud case involving Puech before. According to Puech's previous claims, he lost all of his Herms shares due to concealment and deception by his friend and financial advisor Eric Fremont, and these shares were quietly transferred to the LVMH group. Based on excerpts from the undisclosed lawsuit document, the Paris judicial court estimated in May that the 6 million Herms shares once owned by Puech were worth around 14 billion euros at current prices.
