Reporters learned from the China Building Materials Federation that during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, China's building materials industry has made a series of new breakthroughs in industrial structure, green low-carbon, etc., and the building materials sector in China has achieved industry-wide carbon peaking. Data shows that during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, China's building materials industry has steadily progressed, performing better than expected, with an average annual growth of value added of 0.5%, a growth of 36.9% in the number of enterprises above a certain scale, and a growth of 54.2% in total assets. In terms of structural optimization, the "new three samples" of building materials have emerged, with green building materials, photovoltaic glass, and glass fiber composite materials becoming new engines for the industry's high-quality development. Among them, the revenue of green building materials products has exceeded 250 billion yuan, with an average annual growth of 20%; at the same time, the transformation to green and low-carbon has shown significant results, with China's building materials industry's carbon dioxide emissions decreasing for four consecutive years, with a cumulative decrease of 20.4%.
