Satellite Chemical responded to investors on the interactive platform that peaking carbon dioxide emissions and achieving carbon neutrality are important strategic goals for China to address climate change. According to publicly available information, the carbon emissions from producing one ton of ethylene using light hydrocarbons as raw materials are approximately one-third of the route using naphtha to produce olefins, and one-tenth of the route using coal to produce olefins, which has significant advantages. The company adheres to green and low-carbon development, and has released ESG reports for five consecutive years. It plans to use 2020 as the base year and strive to achieve a cumulative reduction of over 2 million tons of carbon dioxide emissions by 2030; and to achieve carbon neutrality in the value chain by 2050.
