Economic Daily Jin Guanping: Promoting Sustainable Economic and Social Development in Poverty-Stricken Areas.
During the 14th Five-Year Plan period, the central government coordinated the promotion of subsidies for rural revitalization, with a total amount of 850.5 billion yuan. The infrastructure in poverty-stricken areas has significantly improved, public service levels continue to rise, and characteristic industries are developing steadily. Key support was provided to 160 priority counties for rural revitalization in 160 countries and 35,000 centralized resettlement areas. These areas have seen a noticeable increase in economic strength and development momentum. However, many poverty-stricken areas are located in remote areas with limited resources, insufficient industrial support, and still have shortcomings in public services. Poverty alleviation is not the end but a new starting point. It is necessary to use multiple measures to promote economic and social development in poverty-stricken areas to reach new heights, and continue to consolidate and expand the achievements in poverty alleviation.
