On December 1st local time, the Chairman of the Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Sudan, Burhan, stated that the Rapid Support Forces of Sudan must be disbanded, and the Sudanese government refuses to accept any conflict resolution solution that does not include the disbanding of the Rapid Support Forces. Burhan said that given the scale of armed conflicts in Sudan and the immense suffering it has caused to the people, the options for conflict resolution are extremely limited at this stage. He emphasized that for the Sudanese government, the only solution is to eliminate or disband the Rapid Support Forces.
