Charles Amitage, an analyst at Citigroup, pointed out in a report to clients that the emergency repair work to ensure the safe operation of thousands of Airbus A320 aircraft is expected to have a limited impact on the Airbus Group. Earlier, regulators had required the European aircraft manufacturer to implement software and hardware repairs on the A320 series aircraft due to flight control data damage caused by intense solar radiation on a JetBlue Airways aircraft in October this year. Amitage's analysis indicates that the software repair costs for 5000 aircraft should be between 2.5 million and 7.5 million euros, while the hardware repair costs are estimated to be between 50 million and 100 million euros.
