Citigroup analyst Charles Amitich pointed out in a client report that the emergency repair work to ensure the safe operation of thousands of Airbus A320 aircraft is expected to have limited impact on the Airbus Group. Earlier, regulators required the European aircraft manufacturer to implement software and hardware repairs on the A320 series aircraft, following an incident in October in which a JetBlue Airways Airbus aircraft experienced flight control data damage due to intense solar radiation. Amitich's analysis suggests that the cost of software repairs for the 5,000 aircraft should be in the range of 2.5 to 7.5 million euros, while hardware repair costs are estimated to be between 50 and 100 million euros.
