Former vice president of Taihe Group sentenced to 14 years for bribery.
On November 28, the Supreme People's Court and the Supreme People's Procuratorate jointly released 6 typical cases of financial crimes punished by law, including the disclosure of a "Huang's bribery case". According to Pengpai News, the defendant Huang in this case is Huang Xi, former General Manager of the Institutional Business Department of China Construction Bank and former Executive Vice President of Taihe Group. The "Huang Mosun" mentioned in the case is Huang Qisen, the chairman of Taihe Group. The case revealed that from January 2016 to July 2018, the defendant Huang used his position as the General Manager of the Asset Management Department and Institutional Business Department of a state-owned commercial bank, as well as the convenience and conditions created by his power and status, directly or through other state employees' actions in his official capacity, to help Huang Qisen's controlled company enter the specific customer list of a state-owned commercial bank.
