Domestically produced C919 aircraft will begin regular flights to high-altitude airports.

The domestically-produced large aircraft C919 of China Eastern Airlines will start operating the regular route from Shanghai to Lanzhou today. This is the first time that China Eastern Airlines has used the C919 to fly to high-altitude airports. Currently, China Eastern Airlines operates a total of 13 C919 aircraft, flying to 15 routes in 13 cities including Shanghai, Beijing, Hong Kong, Chengdu, Xi'an, and Lanzhou. They have completed over 17,000 commercial flights, carrying over 2.45 million passengers, with an average load factor of over 85%.
