The Central Ecological Environment Protection Supervision has released environmental issues in Tianjin and Hebei.

The third round and fifth batch of central ecological environment protection inspection team announced some typical environmental problems in Tianjin and Hebei provinces. Tianjin has serious issues in the management of volatile organic compounds and vehicle detection, with air quality failing to meet standards and multiple companies found to be illegally discharging pollutants. Tangshan in Hebei was singled out for the illegal launch of steel projects and additional capacity, with obvious shortcomings in air pollution prevention and control. The inspection team found that multiple companies were illegally discharging pollutants and that the ultra-low emission transformation did not meet standards. The inspection team will continue to investigate and carry out follow-up work as required.
