Shanghai Pharmaceuticals Holding (601607.SH) announced that recently, its subsidiary Shanghai Shangyao Ruier Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. received the "Drug Clinical Trial Approval Notice" approved and issued by the National Medical Products Administration for treprostinil diethanolamine inhalation powder aerosol. It is reported that treprostinil diethanolamine inhalation powder aerosol is a Class 2.2 improved innovative drug, with the active ingredient being treprostinil diethanolamine, a synthetic prostacyclin derivative, intended for the treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH, WHO Group 1) to alleviate exercise-induced associated symptoms. Its mechanism of action is primarily through direct dilation of the pulmonary and systemic arterial vascular beds and inhibition of platelet aggregation. As of the disclosure date of the announcement, the project has accumulated R&D investment of approximately RMB21.41 million.
