HENG TAI (00197) Announces Annual Results: Net Loss of Approximately HK$232 million, Up 13.3% Year-on-Year; Trading Resumes on November 3 HENG TAI (00197) announced its results for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2026. Total revenue from continuing operations was approximately HK$255.5 million, down approximately 40.1% year-on-year; net loss was approximately HK$232 million, up 13.3% year-on-year; basic loss per share was 116.09 HK cents. The announcement stated that the decrease in revenue was mainly due to weak sales in the fast-moving consumer goods trading business amid weak consumption and intense market competition, partially offset by the contribution from the new tourism-related business. The increase in net loss was mainly due to the combined effect of several items, including a decrease in revenue of approximately 40.1%, a decrease in other gains and income of approximately HK$8.3 million, an increase in net impairment losses on financial assets of approximately HK$70 million, and an increase in inventory impairment losses of approximately HK$18.8 million, partially offset by a decrease in fair value changes arising from biological transformation of approximately HK$1.7 million, a decrease in selling and distribution expenses of approximately 35.8%, a decrease in administrative expenses of approximately 23.6%, and a decrease in net impairment losses on non-financial assets of approximately HK$79.5 million. The Group also recorded a net loss of approximately HK$22.6 million from discontinued operations (namely the Hong Kong securities trading business), which mainly included impairment losses of HK$13.8 million recognized on loans receivable and tax expenses of approximately HK$8 million. In addition, the Company has applied to the Stock Exchange for the resumption of trading in its shares on the Stock Exchange with effect from 9:00 a.m. on November 3, 2026.
