Pursuant to the partnership agreement, Lianlian Hangzhou has agreed to subscribe for limited partnership interests in the fund, with a subscribed capital contribution of RMB 200 million, representing approximately 89.98% of the fund's initial total subscribed capital contribution of RMB 222 million. Lianlian Hangzhou's capital contribution will be funded from the Group's internal resources.
The fund will focus on equity investments in semiconductors, artificial intelligence, intelligent Siasun Robot&Automation, advanced manufacturing, frontier technology and related industries. The Board believes that the subscription is in line with the Group's strategy of building an industrial ecosystem around artificial intelligence and fintech, and is expected to enable the Group to: (i) through a professionally managed fund, invest in a portfolio of enterprises with investment return potential in the fund's target industries; (ii) gain insights into technological developments and industry trends relevant to the Group's AI-native strategy and product development; and (iii) explore business cooperation and ecosystem synergies with the fund's investee companies, including applying the Group's digital payment and value-added services to such companies. The Board also believes that, by investing through the fund rather than directly in individual targets, the Group can leverage the investment experience and project sourcing capabilities of the general partner and the fund manager, and diversify its investment risk across the portfolio while limiting the Group's financial exposure to the subscribed capital contribution.
