BRII-B (02137) announces the launch of the BRiSC siRNA drug discovery platform. BRII-B (02137) has announced the launch of its self-developed BRiSC (Bispecific RNAi SilenCing) small interfering ribonucleic acid (siRNA) drug discovery platform, aimed at advancing the development of next-generation ribonucleic acid (RNA) therapeutics. BRiSC integrates four core technology modules: sequence optimization, chemical modification, dual-target design, and targeted delivery. Through these synergistic technologies, the BRiSC platform aims to enhance the selectivity, efficacy, and therapeutic potential of siRNA drugs, supporting the development of innovative therapies with differentiated competitive advantages for a variety of diseases. By continuously strengthening its early-stage research team, improving its R&D laboratories in Beijing and Shanghai, and enhancing its RNA technology capabilities, Brii Biosciences has established an internal R&D system covering target discovery, translational science, and preclinical development. These accumulated capabilities have laid the foundation for the establishment of the BRiSC platform, which is currently being applied to advance multiple internal R&D programs. As one of the core capabilities of the BRiSC platform, the dual-target design aims to simultaneously silence two distinct targets through a single siRNA drug, thereby enabling a single therapy to intervene in diseases driven by multiple biological pathways. Brii Biosciences will prioritize exploring the application of this technology in common disease areas, particularly those with complex disease mechanisms and/or commonly accompanied by comorbidities that may benefit from synergistic modulation of multiple therapeutic targets. Brian Johns, Chief Scientific Officer of Brii Biosciences, stated: "BRiSC reflects our long-term commitment to deepening our efforts in siRNA drug discovery and continuously building differentiated scientific capabilities. Our dual-target design is a manifestation of this philosophy, combining innovative molecular design with deep insights into disease biology to develop innovative therapies for diseases driven by multiple biological pathways. Our goal is to develop RNA therapies with differentiated advantages that bring broader and more clinically meaningful benefits to patients."
