STD DEV GROUP (01867) announces that its subsidiary, Standard Development (Shandong) Co., Ltd. (Standard Development (Shandong)), has recently passed an independent audit conducted by RINA Services S.p.A. (RINA), a renowned international certification body under the International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC) framework, and has been awarded ISCC EU and ISCC PLUS certifications (the Certifications).
The Certifications confirm that Standard Development (Shandong) meets the sustainability requirements and greenhouse gas emission reduction standards as defined by the European Renewable Energy Directive, as well as the sustainability requirements defined by ISCC for the bioeconomy and circular economy. Specifically, the Certifications confirm that the Group possesses the production technology knowledge, capabilities, and technically compliant pathways to process and convert various waste carbon-based resources (such as waste tires) into low-carbon marine fuel oil, low-carbon diesel, and sustainable aviation fuel.
Following the Group's previous attainment of ISCC EU certification in the biomethane and biomethanol sectors, the Certifications mark a significant advancement in the Group's expansion of green energy products:
Establishment of diversified solid waste conversion technology processes and capabilities: The Group has successfully established technology processes for producing low-carbon fuels using carbon-based waste such as industrial waste tires as raw materials. The Certifications confirm that the Group's relevant technology processes have reached stringent international standards in terms of full life-cycle greenhouse gas emission reduction and supply chain traceability, and that the Group possesses the process technology capabilities to produce low-carbon marine fuel, low-carbon diesel, and sustainable aviation fuel in compliance with international specifications.
Building a multi-domain technology reserve matrix spanning sea, land, and air: With the establishment of the above technology processes, the Group has built, in terms of technology and compliance access, a clean energy technology reserve covering multi-dimensional scenarios of "maritime transport, land transport, aviation, and industry," laying a solid foundation for future engineering implementation and commercial application in various segmented scenarios.
Practicing circular economy and contributing to global climate governance: The efficient energy conversion of bulk industrial solid waste such as waste tires delivers dual benefits of "pollution treatment" and "fossil energy substitution." The Group will continue to rely on advanced process development to promote clean energy technology progress, help customers and the industry chain achieve deep decarbonization in the future, and actively respond to global climate change. Although the award of the Certifications will qualify the Group to enter the global green energy market in terms of compliance requirements, the subsequent engineering implementation of the relevant processes, production line construction progress, actual capacity release, market and customer development, timing of order signing, and the actual contribution to the Group's financial performance and operating results will all be subject to various external and internal uncertainties, including but not limited to macroeconomic and policy changes, market fuel price fluctuations, and the Group's capital expenditure plans.
