On the news front, CTIHK announced that Mr. Li Bin has been appointed as Chairman of the Board and Non-Executive Director of CTIHK, effective from September 30, and will also serve as Chairman of the Nomination Committee, Chairman of the Strategic Development Committee, and a member of the Remuneration Committee. According to public information, Mr. Li Bin entered the tobacco industry in 1992 and has devoted 34 years to the field, possessing composite experience in tobacco enterprise management, multi-category product research and development, market operations, and international expansion.
Sinolink noted that Hubei China Tobacco, which Mr. Li Bin previously headed, is a leading force in China's HNB industry. Its "MOK" heating device adopts fully independently developed needle-based heating technology, holds 159 related patents, and is one of the domestic HNB products with the highest degree of standardization and industrialization in China. On the policy front, the draft national standard for "Heated Cigarettes" was released for public comment in July 2026, with the comment period closing on September 26, and the domestic HNB regulatory framework is gradually becoming clearer. The company is expected to benefit from the advantages of the China Tobacco system and overseas channels.
